rcGoogle – Must have plugin for Internet Explorer

rcGoogle [right-click Google – OPEN SELECTED URL] tool

Note: OpenSelectedURL only works in Internet Explorer !

No more copy / pasting of URLs from web pages !

1. Select any text on the page (doesn’t need to be a link)
2. Right click with the mouse
3. Choose “Open Selected URL” from the context menu
4. A new window will popup with the new url loaded !

a. Works automatically for :

http:// and ftp://

and news: URLs

b. Converts “sneaky URLs” into normal ones :

eg: hxxp or h**p to ‘http’ fxp or f*p to ‘ftp’

– and it’s easy to add more, see Modification notes

c. Handles and fixes typographical errors in http & ftp URLs :

htp:site.com htp:/site.com htp://site.com
http:site.com http:/site.com
ftp:site.com ftp:/site.com

d. Converts \ BackSlashes to / ForwardSlashes :
(eg: http:\\thesite.com is opened as http://thesite.com)

Works with FlaskGet, and GetRight.

rcGoogle is a small application that allows you to highlight any word within a webpage, click the right mouse button (or press the Context Menu key on your keyboard), then choose to search Google for that word instantly in a new window.
“It also allows you to highlight any web address within a webpage, even if it is not hyperlinked, click the right mouse (or use the Context Menu key as above) & choose to ‘follow selected url’. A great webpage navigation aid.

Note: OpenSelectedURL only works in Internet Explorer!
